Big fan of Greta Garbo anyway,but this is one of my faves - her acting is sublime and she had rare beauty,too. The famous, concluding scene on the ship, with the Queen staring out towards the sea (And her unknown future) inspired me to write the song,"Aphrodite Reborn".
Even though it's black and white, snow has never looked nicer on film! A classic.
