Review of Quartet (2012) by Craig B — 25 Jan 2013
This is a very predictable but hilarious movie filled with a fantastic group of English actors. Maggie Smith delivers a strong performance and is hilarious as always and has great chemistry playing the ex-spouse opposite Tom Courtenay.
Bill Connolly totally steals the show with his hilarious lines that make you laugh really hard. The film doesn't concentrate too hard on opera , but the back in the days when four famous opera singers were famous back in the days.
You don't see any of the four main actors perform at all , you don't even see them faking it. Overall the move is entertaining and I have to say Dustin Hoffman delivers positive work for his first time as director.
The film is hilarious, predictable, and inspiring. Not a total must see, but very enjoyable and entertaining. My grade=83%(B).
