Review of Quartet (2012) by Mary Kathryn P — 02 Mar 2013
Charming, witty, and utterly entertaining, Dustin Hoffman's break into directing is completely heartwarming and dazzling. Maggie Smith never fails to impress, Tom Courtenay was refreshingly tasteful in his performance, Billy Connolly was perfect, and Pauline Collins was adorably beautiful.
This film honors music and art and does a splendid job at it. Though the film takes its time getting started and establishes believably relationships, it still ended as an overall fantastic film.
