Review of Quartet (2012) by David Ray G — 28 Jun 2013
Incredibly amusing, veers away from all the typical comedies we've grown used to, and actually dares something new: presenting older people with all their passions, needs, and quirks realistically and fully.
There are some quotable lines, nice music, well-constructed theme. It was excellently performed by all cast members (we are talking about veterans, after all), and it only goes to prove, once more, that Britain can do mainstream comedy like no other country can.
Thoroughly enjoyable, even if nothing of a masterpiece.
