Review of Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011) by Roxanne R — 01 Oct 2011
I see several great reviews on this one and I agree it was a very good "horror" film! Film critic Brian Orndorf said it succintly: "Lacking a budget and stars, the filmmaker reworks the viral viciousness into a modest but highly entertaining follow-up, dropping tedious found footage elements to refresh the concept.
" I saw the first movie which honestly caused me anxiety symptoms - goes to show the director did a darn good job to elicit that response from viewers! On this sequel, Quarantine 2, the virus was created and released in a Los Angeles apt complex where no one got out alive yet the virus still remained in some rats that now are ready to board a flight from Los Angeles to Kansas.
During the flight some things take place and one by one the passengers become bloodthirsty zombies, killers..OMG as I watched this movie I was thinking of all the reasons I prefer ROAD TRIPS!! Inside a pressurized cabin all sorts of germs and infections can be caught plus you are trapped in there.
Then there is the awful turbulence which makes some of us nauseous...not enough room to move around freely, and food/drink selection is pitiful...once you land then you need a rental car or a friend to pick you up, drive you around, etc.
..Anyways, the movie is a good deterrent for air travel LOL! Can or will the passengers survive the killing spree? For the record you don't need well known stars to create a hit movie and this one delivers with members of the SAG.
..Trying to film inside tunnels and air vents is definitely a challenge and the director does an incredible job of making the viewer feel it, feel the claustrophobia, the anguish and despair! This flight is being watched and once they land its not safe as you think it is.
..I will leave it at that..Recommended to watch with friends over pizza and wine...
