Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by Joe E — 07 Nov 2012

Though not as good as Casino Royale, this movie still kicks all sorts of ass. The biggest problem with the movie is that is tries to play off as a direct sequel to Royale, which is a mistake, considering that James Bond has been in many movies, the way he gets away from, and individualizes himself is by making the movie stand alone.

Which means that the viewer shouldn't have to have seen the previous movies to understand the new narrative. But the movie still manages to thrill and ignite genuine emotion.
