Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by Josh E — 14 Nov 2012
Drops the ball a bit from the glorious character study that was Casino Royale. Bond seems to make decisions that go directly against his character as set up in the first film and the entire narrative seems dead set on turning him into a standard action hero as opposed to the super slick, disaffected hero we all know.
That being said, not a bad film...it expands on the story in the first of this series and goes in some interesting directions. Worth watching if you enjoyed the first, just come into it with lower expectations.
