Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by Sandra V — 04 May 2014
Quite a departure from the Bond Redux of Casino Royale, but exciting and fresh. If you don't concentrate, you won't know what's going on, but the action scenes are inventive and beautiful, Mathieu Almaric is human but still hissable villain, and Olga Kurylenko makes an intriguing Bond girl who you end up wishing you could spend more time with.
She is more of a contender for a viable spin-off than Halle Berry's Jinx. Solace is cool, with fury raging under the surface, just like Craig's Bond.
