Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by President P — 05 May 2013
In most cases this be a pretty decent Bond film, however, it lived in the shadow of Casino Royale and failed to meet those demands. The story has the nice Bond elements, but never really stands out. Craig is still amazing as 007 and Dench is probably the best M of all time.
The remaining cast is alright for the most part, but nothing special; I honestly didn't care much for the villain in this. From the writing and direction standpoint it works for the most part, but like the rest of the film doesn't feel right.
Quantum of Solace is flawed, not very memorable, and at times dull; but, I wouldn't say it's the worst 007 film; however as part II to Casino Royale, it's very disappointing.
