Review of Quantum of Solace (2008) by Jeremy C — 16 Dec 2012
Bond is back ...or is it James Bourne?
For me this movie is apure mix of Jason Bourne in actionstyle and story and the villianious end is just pure James Bond 007, with the TM pre-titles to the theme "another day to die" is just enough to break the 007 seal and break out the unleashed bond for so long, finally a movie that brings out the beast that lurks inside this stylish agent of her majesty's secret service - the down fall is the bond chick, sorry Olga just isn't the bond chick that speaks to me like Eva Green or Ursula Andress. Forster is a cool choice for this movie and was rather supriced that he would taken on the project so fast (was prepared to see Guy Ritche...) "Quantum ..." is still a cool movie with all the things a good spy/action thriller needs with a fighting end that is just sooo 007 that gave me chills, not that it returns to Roger Moore's classic bond but also Bond is on his own like Sean Connery in Dr. No and that is just a cliché of the them two in the same movie... anyway, this film is good but it leaves with a new cliff-hanger, at least in my eyes and that is a bit disturbing but am not worried the next on is coming 2010 so... "better luck next time sluggheads!".
