Review of Q: The Winged Serpent (1982) by Brad G — 14 Oct 2009
And now for something completely different. Kung Fu (David Caradine), Shaft (Richard Roundtree), and Law & Order (Michael Moriarty) team-up to hunt down a dragon terrorizing early 80s New York City.
Yep, as you might expect, itâ??s goofy as all get out but charming nonetheless. Thereâ??s a bit of King Kong vibe going on, but for itâ??s not so much about the semi-cool stop motion serpent as it is about Michael Moriartyâ??s completely batty wheelman.
I grew up with him as such a stiff on the Order side of Law & Order that when I now seem him going wayOver-The-Top in flicks like this and The Stuff I just smile, smile, smile. He is such a good crazie.
For fans of cheappie monster movies and exploitation heroes. VF.
