Review of Q: The Winged Serpent (1982) by Dylan W — 16 Mar 2010
I've seen this movie at least three times in my life and each time I forget it till the next time. It is basically exactly like how a dream works. Nothing in it is real or unreal. Just a series of weird events that have a ton of hidden meaning and subtext.
Larry Cohen taps into the collective unconscious like nobody else. My favorite part is the speech Micheal Moriarity gives in the diner. But I also love the talk that Carradine has with the museum guy on the steps, about God.
This is a perfect companion piece for Cohen's best movie "God Told Me To.".
