Review of Q (1982) by Danny C — 19 Mar 2009
Highly original movie from the inventive mind of cult director Larry Cohen and the master of schlock horror production Roger Corman. The absurd plot revolves around a crazy, small-time crook, an unconventional police inspector and a murderous prehistoric bird (Q), who has strangely decided to take up residence in NY and build an ultra nest, at the top of the Chrysler building (where else).
Only a director of Cohen's wit and wisdom could pull off such a monstrous spectacle.
