Review of PVC-1 (2008) by María G — 14 Jun 2008
Eighty something minutes non stop. Real time, one scene, people! That means no editing at all, in case you still don't get it. A bomb is placed around a woman's neck for ransom; we follow the family's struggle to help her.
This is an extremely low budget movie. Stathoulopoulos filmed, recorded sound, produced, directed, etc, you name it. He also co-wrote the sceenplay. It was filmed in Colombia, not Columbia, please! In a rural area out in the goonies.
And this, well, something like this, really happened to a woman. Even though the acting is not great, you do get sucked in, you suffer for the family. I saw this on cable, On demand. Look for it where the independent films are, it's worth your effort!
