Review of Putney Swope (1969) by Jonathan S — 04 Nov 2010
Is Robert Downey, Sr.'s film a satire on corrupt corporations, black politics, or advertising? Maybe they don't have to be separate. The film has some humorous and memorable bits, but it will make you try and guess at most of the motivations and goals of the bulk of the characters.
Not stupendous, but an interesting curiosity.
