A very fun family film with the type of layered comedy that you want from this type of film. However, it doesn't have the same depth of characters as Shrek. That said, I thought the Jack & Jill characters were very good, as was the plot twist.
I would definitely recommend this as an extension of the Shrek films and unlike other spin offs, this offers a new and interesting story and is deserving to be placed alongside the Shrek franchise.
