Review of Pursuit of Happyness (2005) by Monty H — 17 Dec 2012
Great film based on a true story. Will Smith is terrific as Chris Gardner, a San Francisco salesman who goes through some hard times during the early 80's to support him and his five year old son. He finally lands an internship at a stock brokerage firm but it's not easy making it.
An emotional and ultimately uplifting film about believing in your dreams and doing something about it. Will Smith gives another solid performance, letting people know he can really act. And his real life son Jaden plays his son in this movie.
And he is very good considering this is his first film and he is only 5 years old. A very well done film that will touch your heart and make you give it all in the pursuit of happyness.
