Review of Purpose (2002) by Robin W — 23 Feb 2007
Granted, it's basically "Rock Star: Silicon valley", but with a less hamhanded denouement than the Judas Priest allegory. Excellent cast top to bottom. Jeffrey Donovan is a great "Svengali", Archie Kao ("CSI") and Shaun Majumder are engaging as the protagonist's brain trust buddies, and it was nice to see Mia Farrow in a decent vehicle again.
It's a shameless morality play, but a heartfelt one.
