Review of Purple State of Mind (2008) by John A — 30 Jan 2011
I most appreciate that this feels like a real, engaged conversation. It isn't a conversation where every point made is extremely well-crafted, logically airtight, or rhetorically appropriate. Instead, we have two men with a lengthy history discussing issues significant to them.
In addition, I find the ending of the film to be extremely appropriate, both in the way it drives to the heart of Marks' objections to God, and to the possibilities that come in light of miraculous moments.
