Review of Purple Rain (1984) by Genise T — 24 Feb 2008
Let me start off by saying that Prince is a musical genius. He wrote "When Doves Cry" in one night.
Now, as for the movie. You have to realize that all of the actors (except for Prince's father) are making their debut in this movie. So, the acting's a bit shaky. But the message (and the music) more than make up for it.
Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.
