Review of Purple Rain (1984) by Megan H — 12 May 2008

I've seen Prince's other movies and I can safely say that in the other movies, he can't act...but surprisingly in this one he pulls off a believable performance...maybe because a lot of it was based on his real life.

This movie is cheesy in many ways, but I think what saves it, are the dramatic scenes involving him and his father...and the moving performance by Prince after tragedy strikes. This album is his signature album.

..he will never top it..it defines him in my opinion. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but doesn't it seem that Prince doesn't know how to kiss?? I think I read somewhere when I was a kid, that Apollonia said in an interview that kissing Prince was like kissing her brother!!
