Review of Purgatory House (2003) by David L — 21 Jan 2008
I just finished watching the movie Purgatory House and it was pretty good and it was written by Celeste Davis. She started writing it when she was 13 and by the time she was 15 they were starting to film it. The movie pretty much talks about the truth. Purgatory means between Heaven and Hell. In the movie a girl Silver Marie Strand kills herself because she wants to escape the pain and suffering of her oh so horribe life. She was expecting that when she died that God would love her unconditionally but instead her sends her to Purgatory House in which she has to incounter the pain she had in her life everyday forever. So to the people who have to live in the purgatory house heaven to them is hell and they are living in hell Like she has to wear the same clothes she was wearing the day that she died and she has a never ending supply of drugs because she was a drug addict but she perfers mind expanding loser it's hard to believe that a 14 year old girl wrote this amazing and powerfully moving true story that was turned into a movie that a lot of teenagers would relate to. When I was watching the special features Celeste was talking about how she and her dad didn't get along and she would just got to her room and just start writing and that reminds me a lot of me because I would always do that .
