Review of Puppy (2005) by Danielle K — 14 Apr 2013
This was a very intriguing movie about a young Australian girl tossed to the curb by her sister and then saved from suicide by a random psychotic man. As the movie goes along, Aiden is panted as the villain while he keeps Liz captive and pretends that she is his runaway wife, Hellen.
However, the tables turn when Liz fakes a pregnancy and pregnancy issues and gets Aiden to bring the family doctor over. The doctor reveals that Aiden is supposed to be on medication, and promises Liz that he will get her out.
Aiden accidentally kills the doctor, however, and Liz restrains Aiden as he tries to suck the baby-harming 'blockage' out of here. That is where the tables turn, and Liz holds Aiden captive. She sees once she makes him take his meds that he is normal, lovely, and remorseful.
Not only that, but hardly aware of what he was like off of medication. She manipulates him into living a life of domestic bliss with her, as she seems to fall in love with her messed up situation. She hides deep dark secrets from him (and the police) all the way until the end.
