Sadly dated. There were some nice ideas here, but a lot of the acting was pretty terrible and there wasn't enough puppet action/killings. I was more intrigued about Toulon's back story than the rest of the movie and I hope they cover that in at least one of the sequels.
Overall an Ok movie.
