Review of Puppetmaster (1989) by David W — 23 Oct 2012
The 1st of many sequels that starts off fun.
'Puppet Master' shows the dark ambition of wanting to be powerful and immortal through the demonic power of puppets.
The cast is full of unknowns and since the film is so short you barely get to know any of them aside from the telekinetic power scenes.
Everyone gets killed off real fast and the big reason to watch this 1st installment are the puppets themselves.
They're the big stars.
These things look creepy and leave some damage in their path.
The movie itself though is pretty straight-by-the-numbers.
There are no scares, no jumps etc. but still worth it for the animatronics and the deaths.
