Review of Puppet Master: The Legacy (2003) by Russell H — 27 Aug 2016
Do you remember those annoying TV episodes form the 80s where the character would sit around an remember things that happened to them in past episodes? That's exactly what Charles Band, creator of the Puppet Master series, did with this cash grab eighth installment in the series.
There's about 30 minutes of new footage, but most of the film is really just a best-of retelling of the previous films. Nothing really to recommend here. It's not exactly worth watching if you've already seen the other films and it's not really where you'd want to make your entry point into the series either if you haven't seen any of the other films.
Band directed the film under the pseudonym Robert Talbot and write C. Courtney Joyner used a pseudonym for his credit too. I thought the seventh film in this series was the worst, but it's definitely this one.
