Review of Puncture (2011) by Carley O — 06 Nov 2011
I am not usually one for true stories based on lawyers but this film moved me to tears. A drug addicted (and by Christ does this guy love drugs) alligator owning lawyer who cheats on his crazy wife with prostitutes takes up the case of life saving syringes that can prevent the spread of AIDS.
This is truly one of the best films I have ever seen in my life and I have come to realise how awful the society we live in is based upon greed that begats evil and we should all feel disgusted with the corporations that control aspects of our life that we never even thought about.
Chris Evans does a truly brilliant stint as Mike Weiss a man who is now one of my heroes, tortured by his demons and still trying to do right by the world. I would urge everybody to watch this movie and take up the case for the millions of people affected by AIDS the world over, Bono might be a cunt but he has a point when he says that AIDS is not good and simple changes that cost five cents can save millions of lives.
