Review of Puncture (2011) by Elaine P — 02 Jul 2012
Puncture is a riveting legal drama with a lot to say. The weight of the film is carried by Chris Evans, who puts forth his best performance on screen to date. The supporting cast hold their own, but are clearly on a lower plane.
It was both humorous and intriguing to see Mark Lanier as himself, in the film. And under the direction or Adam and Mark Kassen, sometimes you are left wondering if the focal point is the legal battle or the personal battles of Mike.
Even though there were some pacing issues throughout, Puncture just seemed all too real. While that may be expected from a based-on-true-events film, praise should be given regardless to the seemingly steadfast loyalty and direction of the film.
