I absolutely hate Adam Sandler movies, though with the exception of Funny People and The Wedding Singer,and now Punch-Druck Love. This is by far Sandler's best performance of his career. By teaming up with the magnificent director/writer Paul Thomas Anderson, they tell the story of an odd man that suffers from these random violent fits of rage who finds love.
The film is very strange in it's method of stroytelling and comes off as a bit sappy towards the end but it has a very unique vibe to it that makes all the more enjoyable. This a must watch for Adam Sandler fans (if those exist.
..) and fans of smart rom-coms.
