Paul Thomas Anderson tries his hand at a stylistic love story, which automatically makes it Adam Sandler's best roll as well as a movie made for the film-buff. This is an intelligently strange film best described by David Ansen's Newsweek review: It's a romantic comedy on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
