"Odd, touching, and unique, Punch-Drunk Love is also delightfully funny, utilizing Adam Sandler's comic persona to explore the life of a lonely guy who finds love." - RT Awww how sweet but is the film a considered a triumph? Imo, not really.
PDL is pure art house style as PTA commands the camera and follows these somewhat interesting, quirky characters. It's a love drama and at times kinda funny (Barry Eagan talking to the phone sex operator, and then the hotel opperator mentioning there should be no man in Lena Leonard).
I am not sure about Adam Sandler though. He's good in this but haven't really noticed a change in his acting skills. For those who've seen this, have you noticed the change in Sandler's performance?
