Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Trevor R — 06 Mar 2014
Is there any living filmmaker whose stories can be so simply and clearly told yet so wonderfully enigmatic and thematically deep at the same time? Emily Watson is a delight, and Adam Sandler echoes a kind of Christopher Walken-like sincere awkwardness in his brilliant performance (Although it makes me sad to see an actor constantly wasting such tremendous potential).
A truly magical cinematic romance.
