Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Chris M — 19 Apr 2014
Througout the movie, I couldn't recognize Adam Sandler, which made me happy because this is a quality performance (the best I've seen from him). However it is also waste because I've seen he can do great things, but he decides to do shitty movies.
As for Paul Thomas Anderson, I loved that he got away from his usual style; he made a unique love story, with unique characters that are in unique situations. Punch-Drunk Love is a fresh and memorable look to the romantic comedy genre.
It is, ultimately, a love story.
