In the 90's, Adam Sandler made stupid but really funny comedies. Now, Adam Sandler mostly makes stupid and unfunny comedies. I say mostly because of Punch-Drunk Love. This is Adam Sandler at arguably his best, his portrayal of an awkward, mentally distraught man reaches new levels for the actor whenever his rage is let loose.
Most people who like Sandler's movies will be bored by this but those who are sick of seeing Grown Ups 2 on HBO should be reminded of his talent.
