Review of Pumpkinhead (1988) by Alexander B — 06 Nov 2007
Pretty thin 80s horror with a cool monster that doesn't deliver as much gore as it promises. All scenes are either lit extremely blue or extremely orange, which is interesting. It's cool that it's directed by creature effects genius Stan Winston, and he does a good job at creating some unique atmospheres, sometimes recalling Tim Burton or Sam Raimi in his Evil Dead days.
Not exactly a gripping story though.
