Review of Pumpkinhead (1988) by Jon C — 30 Sep 2013
An old school horror film that's gothic and terrifying.
Lance Henriksen is awesome here.
It's so sad he's playing the part of a father who has lost his son thanks to some delinquent youths and in desperation turns to a witch for revenge.
Up arises a creature of unspeakable evil and carnage.
The Pumpkinhead animatronic is very scary-looking and state-of-the-art, Stan Winston was still a genius when it came to practical effects.
Despite the short running time this horror film gets a lot done at an enjoyable level.
