Review of Pumpkinhead (1988) by Danny M — 23 Jul 2009
Every revenge movie is also a redemption movie. This one has some interesting interplay going on regarding that, with Pumpkinhead's victims as real people, sorry for their mistake. It also does a great job in creating that backwoods nightmare aesthetic, with a great performance out of the severely underrated Henriksen.
Quite predictable in a few ways, but as it's deliberately an old-fashioned campfire story, that's kind of the point.
