Review of Pumpkinhead (1988) by Julian T — 23 Oct 2011
After designing, building and bringing to life countless critters, creatures and monsters, Stan Winston finally gets a directorial credit.
A good low budget horror movie. Lance Henriksen is one of my favorites, and he is perfect in this role turning in one of his best career performances. Creepy backwoods feel and a great monster from Winston of course.
It might not be the most original or creative concept, but it is a very solid and well constructed film. It's especially good when you consider the meager budget on which it was filmed.
