Review of Pumpkin (2002) by Alita M — 28 Dec 2008
I really felt as is it was trying to be a satirical horror film at times, particularly with the soundtrack piecing and scene selection. Really people, unnecessary screaming and over reaction to having to be paired with someone of special needs? This reaction is highly unlikely in modern day society, let alone in Southern California where a social consciousness exists for such programs and individuals who are born with disabilities.
The movie would have worked best in an older time setting and perhaps another region of the United States. Call me crazy? Not to mention the acting was very poor and killed the great potential for the movie to actually take off.
