Review of Pulse (2006) by Samuel S — 29 Apr 2010
2 years ago, me, my cousin Chelsea, and my aunt Susie decided to watch a movie on Encore Channel. We watched Dawn of the Dead, the 2004 remake. Then, at 11:30 PM, Pulse came on. Aunt Susie had fallen asleep, so it was just me & Chelse, who's about 2 years younger than me.
Our first mistake: we watched it in the dark on a rainy night. Our second mistake was not reading the description of the movie. We sat thru it, neither of us moving off the couch. When the movie ended, I was hugging a pillow, wide-eyed, while Chelse hurriedly turned the lights on.
Then the phone rang and I think Chelse and I both screamed! I was scared! Pulse blends an Atmosphere of bleakness and solitary despair, with plausible technologies of the soon-to-be-now, with a look at how mankind is doomed if those machines stop working and start killing.
Even now, I unplug the computer at night and don't go to the laundry room alone because of what I saw there, in that movie. Watch it, or Else!
