Review of Pulse (2002) by Andy C — 06 Apr 2008
Ok so from what I could gather, not content with spoiling Nuclear testing and genetic tampering for us the nasties of the world have conspired to spoil the internet too.
As a side effect of inventing new superfast wifi broadband rotten goolies are released into our world (apparently ghosts come from the same magic dimension as the internet). At first the spirits seem content to make a few local teens depressed but they soon graduate to killing people directly by though a process of having a massive shout at people so that they go wibbly wobbly to death, electrical tape seems to hamper their progress a little but the characters plans to stop the ghosts by pressing what appears to be the internet's reset button, turns out just to be a waste of about an hour...The survivors are then forced to live a life only safe from ghosts if they have no mobile phone signal or electricity ever again...I know I'd rather be dead too.
