Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Zachary C — 10 Sep 2014
So, I finally watched this after much urging from ny friends, and the fact that it's considered one of the greatest films of all time. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed.
What really impressed me was that it wasn't a single story, it was actually three different storylines, expertly woven into a cohesive whole, with how they all tie together being revealed at the end.
Also, the lack of any boring scenes, or a real message behind it really made it what the title implies. A piece of pulp fiction made into a masterpiece of a movie.
But the dialogue is the real thing that's great about it. It's witty and funny in a blackly humorous way. It made this movie what it was meant to be. A darkly entertaining piece of vintage action.
