Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Brad S — 29 Mar 2015
- Just watched yet again, this time on Blu-ray. The movie just blows me away each time. Obviously I watch a lot of movies, so I can easily recognize when one stands out, and the dialogue in this is head and shoulders above most other films. The structures is a bit of a gimmick, but combined with the sharp screenplay and slightly different or unique camera angle and shots, it really creates a special experience. An absolute must watch film!
- I hadn't watched this one in several years, and going back to it was like visiting an old friend. Such an inventive and entertaining film. I think it is the only film I've seen 3 times in theatres including once at an IMAX theatre. All the performances are great and the dialogue is amongst the best ever. I truly wish Tarantino was a more prolific director, his movies are always interesting to watch, even if I don't love them like "Death Proof". This film is a must, and check it out again if it's been a while!
