Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Landon M — 13 Jan 2016
Tarantino made Reservoir Dogs and it was awesome. However, this is his first triumph of epic proportions. Pulp Fiction is fantastic in every sense of the word. The acting and writing in particular are phenomenal.
Samuel L. JAckson and John Travolta have fantastic chemistry and have some great scenes with each other. Bruce Willis is great, Uma Thurman is fantastic, and everyone else was great as well. The direction and writing all culminate and the style is beyond amazing.
There are scenes where people are just talking, but you are so engaged. Only Tarantino can do this so many times and have them all work. As a whole, Pulp Fiction is a brutal, hilarious, and emotional work of art, and is Tarantino's best.
10/10.
