Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Conner T — 18 Jun 2015
One of the best films ever made. It never looses its punch. How could it? Tarantino's Oscar-winning writing created a roller coaster of emotion with characters that anyone can relate to. Giving the audience a false sense of comfort and BAM the ant hill has been kicked and everything spirals out of control. Not to mention the killer performances of all the actors. Samuel L Jackson not receiving the Oscar for best supporting actor was the biggest snub since James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Al Pacino all lost for the Godfather twenty years previous. Pulp Fiction is as close to perfect as you can get with a film that isn't The Godfather or Citizen Kane.
Overall rating: "I said Goddamn!".
