Review of Psycho (2007) by Andrew K — 11 Aug 2012
I still smile every time I get to that final look from Perkins. Just because this movie is still so beautifully brilliant over half a century later. This movie was made for a million dollars in 1960. Hitchcock used the crew from his television show and a cast of mostly unknown actors.
He shot it in black and white when most other films were in color and he got the story from a novel he picked up in an airport. Yet this film has made a well-deserved and unerasable mark on the history of film.
Alfred Hitchcock was a genius.
