Review of Psycho (2007) by Chris L — 12 Aug 2012
What is there to say about this movie that hasn't been said already? Janet Leigh's performance as the unfortunate embezzler, Marion Crane, is, of course, iconic, but Anthony Perkins steals the show as the shy but secretive innkeeper, Norman Bates.
The shower scene is probably the film's most memorable moment, but the grand finale has me on the edge of my seat every single time. While this may not be Hitchcock's best film, it is certainly his most popular, basically inventing the horror genre as we know it today.
My personal favorite Hitchcock film.
