It's a classic for all the right reasons. The suspense keeps you on edge, and Hitchcock knows how much to let the audience see in order to keep it going.the acting is superb. The lighting creates a creepy atmosphere.
And let's be honest; who doesn't feel creeped out by that shower scene? Ignore the shot-by-shot remake. There is no substitute for this one.
