Review of Psycho (2007) by Joel C — 18 Oct 2012
Of the best movies of all time, horror or otherwise. Htichcock created something so innovative that it changed the way people watched movies (no one was allowed in after the first 10 minutes). He even started rumors about who was playing Mrs. Bates to cover what most consider cinema's ultimate plot twist. Bernard Herrman's all-string score is superb and sets the tone perfectly. You couldn't have asked for a better script from Joseph Stefano, who had the daunting task of adapting Robert Bloch's novel, but worked closely with Hitchcock to get an idea of the direction he was going to take. I can't say enough good things about it, honestly.
