Review of Psycho (2007) by Kenneth B — 29 Oct 2012
This is perhaps the best known and most influential of all of Hitchcock's films. The camera work and the editing is genius, while the cast, Perkins and Leigh in particular, play their roles more or less to perfection.
Leigh exudes both vulnerability and authority simultaneously while Perkins' carefully nuanced performance has to be one of the best ever committed to horror cinema. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho was a watershed moment.
